Banded shades offer a contemporary touch to your space, distinct from Dual Bracket Shades, which I’ll explain later in this blog. What makes banded shades feel modern? They feature bands of sheer fabric alternating with bands of light-filtering fabric, creating striking lines across your floor and walls.

Whenever you introduce lines, as with these unique vane lines, it adds to the modern aesthetic. You can adjust the vanes to block light from the sheer fabric, achieving consistent light opacity. Then, you have the option to raise the shades completely to let in full light. Plus, the shades roll up and disappear into the Headrail seamlessly.

There are various control options available for this product. You can opt for motorization with a Remote Control, Wall Switch, or a Power Wand. Alternatively, you can choose Continuous Cord with a tension guide or a Retractable Cord. If you have questions about any of these control options, we’re here to assist you.

Motorization technology has evolved significantly in recent years. Costs have decreased, making motorized shades more affordable. Instead of replacing 8-12 AA batteries, you can simply plug in a rechargeable cord for about 5 hours once or twice a year, depending on usage. You can also get a Bridge, resembling a jump drive, for access to your phone app. This app allows you to close your shades remotely while on a trip, set timers for everyday use, or create favorite scene settings. And, of course, they’re compatible with your Smart Speakers.

Now, onto Dual Bracket Shades, which consist of two Roller Shades, one behind the other. They offer the option of adjusting opacity to either enjoy your view through the first shade or opt for blackout with the second shade. However, this application requires sufficient depth in the window. When communicating with your Design Consultant, be clear about whether you’re interested in Banded or Dual Bracket Shades.
